The back story:
Richie and Dean his partner first met Steve and Ian long before the Club was open. Ian wanted something daring and controversial for the dance floor. Well - this presented us with a challenge. Noses are funny looking things. I had airbrushed a moon on T-Shirts so we decided that the moon was our star and we gave him a spoon. Steve and Ian loved it and it became the symbol not only for the club but for nightlife in general appearing everywhere and around the world.
